What is Uphold?

Uphold is a digital money platform that lets you buy, hold, convert, and spend cryptocurrencies, precious metals, fiat currencies, and other assets. To access your funds and manage your portfolio, you need to log in securely to your Uphold account through their website or mobile app.

Step 1: Visit the Official Uphold Website or App

Open your web browser and go to www.uphold.com. If you’re on a smartphone, you can download the official Uphold app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Always make sure you’re using the official app or website to avoid phishing scams.

Step 2: Click or Tap “Log In”

On the Uphold homepage or app home screen, locate the “Log In” button. It’s usually at the top right corner of the website or on the main page of the app. Tap or click on it to proceed to the login form.

Step 3: Enter Your Registered Email Address

In the login form, type in the email address you used when you created your Uphold account. Double-check that there are no typos. Uphold uses your email to send login security codes, so accuracy is important.

Step 4: Enter Your Password

Below the email field, enter your secure password. Your password should be strong, ideally containing a mix of upper and lower-case letters, numbers, and special characters. If you’ve forgotten your password, click the “Forgot Password?” link to reset it. Uphold will email you a link to create a new password.

Step 5: Complete Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

For added security, Uphold requires two-factor authentication (2FA) for most accounts. After you enter your email and password, you’ll receive a one-time code via email or an authenticator app like Google Authenticator. Enter this code correctly to proceed.

Step 6: Access Your Dashboard

Once you pass the 2FA step, you’ll be logged in and taken to your Uphold dashboard. From here, you can view your portfolio, buy or sell assets, send or receive funds, and manage your account settings.

Tips for a Safe Uphold Login

Use Strong, Unique Passwords: Never reuse passwords from other sites. A password manager can help generate and store complex passwords.

Enable 2FA: Always keep two-factor authentication enabled. It adds an extra layer of security, even if someone knows your password.

Beware of Phishing Emails: Uphold will never ask for your password via email. Always verify that you’re on the official Uphold site.

Log Out When Done: If you’re using a shared or public device, log out completely when you’re done.

Update Regularly: Keep your app up to date for the latest security features.

What to Do If You Can’t Log In

If you’re having trouble logging in, double-check your email and password for typos. Reset your password if needed. If you’re locked out, contact Uphold’s support team through their official help center at support.uphold.com.
